In Cheshire, the company has carried out many solar panel installations and battery storage installs. In this particular case, the company installed a complete solar energy system to a relatively new build property.The property having been just constructed, had th pass the SAP test, hence the requirement for solar panels to be fitted.
Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP):
This calculation method is used to assess the overall energy performance of a new build, taking into account factors like insulation levels, heating systems, and building design, and is often used alongside the air tightness test to determine compliance with regulations.
This three-bedroom property has a south-east facing rear roof, and the recent construction of the whole estate means that there were no tall trees or other obstacles blocking direct sunlight. This meant positioning the panels on the rear slope of the roof would ensure they enjoy uninterrupted access to light throughout the entire day.

The Solar Panel Installations Procedure
Taking care, as ever, to ensure the installation was conducted to the highest possible standard, and safeguard the property, we installed temporary scaffolding. The company always uses scaffolding for all solar panel installations. This provided unhindered access to the roof surface where the panels were to be located.
The client chose an external, as opposed to an inroof system. This requires mounting racks to be placed across the length of area where the panels are to be situated. The solar panels are then mounted directly to the racks, meaning that the roof tiles remain in situation beneath the panels.
The installation took just 1 day to complete, and the panels were connected to the inverter and batteries enabling the system to be fully functional and start generating electricity the same day.
